Virtual Chiropractic Assistant (VCA)
A Virtual Chiropractic Assistant (VCA) serves as a direct point of contact between patients and chiropractic providers, managing administrative and patient-support tasks with accuracy and professionalism. VCAs assist with appointment scheduling, patient intake, treatment follow-up coordination, and clarification of therapy or care plan questions, all while ensuring smooth and timely communication with providers.
They ensure efficient daily operations through documentation management, insurance and billing support, patient outreach, and workflow coordination, helping providers remain focused on delivering effective chiropractic care. This role supports accuracy, efficiency, and a positive patient experience within a virtual, patient-centered environment.
Skills & Competencies
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare, chiropractic, or administrative support roles.
- Proven experience working directly with patients or providers, remotely or in-person.
- Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.

Virtual Chiropractice Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Manage virtual front desk operations, including scheduling, confirmations, and patient communications.
- Accurately record and update patient information, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy standards.
- Prepare patients for appointments and assist with intake forms, medical history, and care plans.
- Support chiropractors and care teams in coordinating treatments, therapies, and follow-up appointments.
- Provide patients with guidance on Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and ensure proper usage instructions.
- Communicate patient updates and concerns promptly to providers and the practice manager.
- Maintain an organized, efficient virtual workflow while handling multiple tasks with professionalism.
- Deliver compassionate, respectful service, ensuring every patient feels supported and valued.
- Ensure all digital patient records, treatment notes, and billing details are accurately documented and securely maintained.
